Ashegrewolder,hisintrovertednatureintensified,andhebegantodistancehimselffromothers.Hefoundsolaceinbooksandmusic,lettingtheirwordsandmelodiestransporthimtodifferentworlds.Yetevenashedelvedintothoseexternalworlds,hisowninternalworldwasgrowingricher,morecomplex,andmoremeaningful.
Ashemovedthroughlife,hecontinuedtobuilduponhisinternalworld,collectingmomentsandmemorieslikeprecioustrinkets.Hekeptajournalwhereherecordedeverysignificantmomentofhislife,everyconversationthattouchedhim,everypersonthatleftanimpactonhim.
Overtheyears,hiscollectiongrewmoresignificant,andhefoundhimselfrevisitingthosemomentsmoreoften.Eachtimeherelivedthoseexperiences,theybecamemorevividinhismind,thedetailssharper,andtheemotionsmoreintense.
Despitehisloveforreminiscing,hedidnotshyawayfromnewexperiences.Hetraveledtonewplaces,metnewpeople,triednewthings.However,healwaysknewthatthememoriesofthoseexperienceswouldbewhathecherishedmost.
Asheaged,hisphysicalabilitiesdeclined,buthisinternalworldremainedasvibrantasever.Herevisitedhismemorieswithevenmorefervor,takingthetimetosavoreverydetail.Hisjournalhadbecomearoadmapofhislife,andhespenthoursporingoverit,lostinthought.
Hefoundthathecouldderivejustasmuchpleasurefromreminiscingabouthislifeashehadfromlivingit.Thememoriesprovidedhimwithasenseofcomfortandstability,areminderofthepersonhehadbeenandthejourneyhehadtaken.
